Executive Director, Wyomissing Area Education Foundation

This position is responsible for working collaboratively with the Board of Directors in supporting and facilitating the Mission and initiatives of the Wyomissing Area Education Foundation, including assisting in creating partnerships with the community, teachers & Wyomissing Area School District to help identify areas of need; facilitating existing and potential programs and encouraging charitable giving through various activities and fundraising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development initiatives: enhance stakeholder relationships, cultivate current & potential WAEF donors, including EITC donors
  • In collaboration with Board of Directors (BOD), Toast and Stroll Committees, manage and coordinate events (e.g., Toasts, Spartan Stroll, 4th of July Parade), including fundraising solicitation
  • In collaboration with BOD and Marketing Committee, manage developing content & design of: Annual Report, WAEF website, biweekly e-Newsletters, and social media posts, events, and promotions
  • In collaboration with BOD and Grants Committee, manage all aspects of grants and scholarship application & awards process, including execution and follow-up
  • Manage Annual Solicitation campaign & bulk mailings of WAEF
  • Provide interim management of vacant Committee Chairs and members
  • Provide leadership and support to WAEF BODs & Committee Chairs
  • Work with Treasurer to review & establish Fiscal Year budgets
  • Orient new WAEF board members

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • Strong development and event planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher; Constant Contact, PayPal, social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), print & web-based communication; donor database software & Quickbooks
  • College degree and non-profit experience a plus
