Welcome to the
Wyomissing Area Education Foundation
WAEF Board hosts the recipient of the first
Sean Flannery Memorial Scholarship, 2012-Juliet Bonino
On January 8, 2013, Juliet Bonino was invited to address the Wyomissing Area Education Foundation during the monthly Board meeting. Juliet is a first year student at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. As pre-nursing major, Juliet looks forward to her acceptance into the nursing program during the spring semester of her first year. She would then begin clinical in the second year of the program. Juliet had a very successful first semester and with 20 AP credits has been able to have a theology/Spanish double minor. She has become active on campus in faith based outreach ministries, hall council, swing dancing, and intramural volleyball. Juliet is very happy at Franciscan University.
Juliet expressed how well- prepared she was for the academic challenges of a university. Juliet has a deep appreciation for the Wyomissing community and looks
forward to future contributions she may be able to make. She thanked the board for the opportunity to share about her experiences so far. Juliet‘s outstanding presentation truly gave heartfelt meaning to the educational opportunities at WASD. Juliet’s words of appreciation were greatly felt as she discussed her years at Wyomissing Area School District, and her gratitude for the excellent teaching and support of WASD.
